The Amarillo Symphony’s powerhouse 40 minute multimedia presentation and live distance learning concert on January 9th and 10th is an opportunity for fourth and fifth graders of Region 16 to experience Ellis Island; The Dream of America and celebrate the American immigrant experience. The spectacular concert will feature WTAMU actors from the Branding Iron Theatre and the full symphony orchestra with amazing images from the Ellis Island archives. For those schools that cannot physically attend the performance, WOWW will be broadcasting the live version via distance learning equipment through Region 16 Education Support Center. Showtimes are 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. each day. The cost is $1 per student. You may register for this program through your school’s tech coordinator.
